What is Application Warp?
-Application Warp is a memory manager for windows 95, 98, SE & ME.
-Application Warp is designed to speedup programs that need a lot of memory.
What is so different compared to other RAM managers?
-Other RAM managers are programmed to free memory like: if 1MB free then free 5MB. This is no good, freeing memory means the RAM memory will be moved to the SWAP memory. Moving memory to the SWAP costs processor usage. And keeping memory free will make your computer slower, if you keep memory free you can't use it. I don't have to explain if you can't use a part of your RAM memory that your computer will be slower.
-Application Warp works very different: We give you a "Fast Buffer" this memory can be used. We have multiple ways of freeing the buffer and move it to the SWAP. This also costs processor usage, but our program can check if the computers processor usage is below a certain point when moving it. This will only makes SWAPPING happen when the computer has nothing better to do. You won't notice it now! Now if a game needs memory and uses the processor a lot, you have the freed "Fast Buffer" RAM memory and the game will use it. RAM is faster then SWAP so this is your speed increase. Unfortunate some games have a processor usage of 100% all the time, but still our program can find the right moment to free the "Fast Buffer", using drain. (we will explain more about drain in this manual)
-Application Warp manages its own program priority, if you computer is very busy Application Warp goes to Idle mode. In Idle mode more processor time can be used by other programs. Application Warp only goes to Idle mode when your processor usage is 100% and the Status Balloon & Analyzer are hidden.
-Also Application Warp can work any way you want you can use custom setting to "Fine Tune" your memory management this gives you great flexibility.
Why use Application Warp?
-Application Warp is made to accelerate 3D games that is the main purpose, Application Warp also speeds up other programs.
-So before you buy a new computer, try Application Warp! (Remember a new computer will also be accelerated by Application Warp, it's always a little extra speed for a minimum price)
-Application Warp is made for fast as well as for slow computers, the memory manager will always accelerate your games.
-If your (3D) game still is a little slow we recommend changing video card settings. Make sure ANTI Aliasing for the video card is turned off. (ANTI Aliasing is only for very fast 3D accelerator cards)
-Application Warp does not increase the speed of your video card but only the speed of your RAM usage. Your computer will be faster, but not your video card.
